The final snail. Angel snail. Oh my word I did it

My apologies, I am posting this early because seriously guys, I am done. The Sandman has exhausted his stock and I am up to my neck in glittery sleepy sands.

So here you have it. The final snail. 24 snails in 24 hours. Just like I promised. When I get up this afternoon I will have the proper thank yous, the grand total and other annoucements of things.

The pledging stays open all day today, so there is still time.

Now if you will excuse me, I have a date to keep.

Snail #23: Green Lantern Snail

Snail #22: Cheech and Chong Snails

Two more to go! I am in the home stretch.

Snail 21: Charlie Brown Snail

Poor Charlie Brown snail. Good Grief I am tired.

Snail #20-I am Batsnail

Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na Na BAT SNAIL!

(I feel odd. Drinking more water, considering 15min power nap)

Snail 19: Dorthy and her little dog too

Snail #18-Scarecrow, Tin Man & Lion

Part one of the Wizard of Oz snails.

Snail #17-Snailock Holmes

Well the wee hours are upon me. This is where life starts to get interesting. Where it's time to start sipping more orange juice, having little dance parties, and anything else I can think of to stay awake.

Snail #16-The Fifth Doctor

Snail #15-Borg Snail

Some snails are good! Some...look like this. Hahahaha.

Thank you to Bryce and Marie for your donations!

Snail #14-The Avengers

I love The Avengers and am watching some right now. Just seemed like the right snails to draw.

Snail #13 - The Fab Four

This snail is for one my favorite people Laura! Beatles snails!

Snail #12-The Fourth Doctor (Halfway point!!)

It's the halfway point! Hour 12! I am still going strong, I think the sandman is circling the block, but I have got ways to beat him back. I am totally going to do this.

And I am getting closer to my goal! A big thank you to my newest sponsor Nicole. <3

Snail#11: Village People Snails

Almost half way there. Oh crap I yawned.

Snail #10-Trick or Treat!

A perfect doodle for the up coming holiday. Featuring a ghost snail! I love my ghost snail!

Snail #9: The Third Doctor & a chunky Cyberman

Time for another Doctor for my Doctor Who fans. I went through three tries before I was semi-happy with the Cyberman. Still not loving him, but I am loving the Doctor snail.

Snail#9: Goldilocks and the three Snails

Nine hours in and the fun continues! This one is so adorable.

I got another donation! Thank you Mary! <3

There is still plenty of time to donate, just click on the pretty silver button on the right. I am getting really close to my goal, which is so awesome. I would love to blow past that goal.

Snail #8: Popeye the Snailorman

Moving right along, and this time the snail has an arm! Had to give him a tattoo somehow.

Snail #7- Hula Snail

I blame this one on a Jan and Dean song that came on awhile ago. The flowers around the snail's neck don't show up as well. (and the paper is folded to hide a palm tree of pure fail.

Snail #6: The Second Doctor & a Quark

Here is another incarnation of Doctor Who. And I gave him a Quark to deal with. It is fun doing the Doctors. Although some of the first Doctors dressed kind of the same. So I am hoping that I am doing okay.

Snail #5 Franken-Snail

It's alive!

Snail #4 Mary Snail Retton

Here we have Mary Snail Retton on the balance beam.*

*Disclaimer: I never said these would be beautiful works of art. :)

Snail #3 The First Doctor

One of my favorite snail suggestions came from my lovely friend Mr. Steven Perez. He said I should do a snail for each of the Doctors. That's 11 snails right there! Being a Doctor Who fan and loving my friend dearly, I could not resist. So let's get the Doctor's rolling. Here is the first Doctor, and one of my favorite enemies.

Also, in case anyone is wondering, these snails were not drawn ahead of time. I am making them fresh before the top of every hour. I give myself a bit of time, in case it takes a few tries to get them the way I want them. So I'm not cheating, I am in fact drawing and posting every hour.

Snail #2 -Snaily Poppins

So far so good with the snails. Well it is only #2. Let's see what I am saying when I am in hour number 20. I want to take a chance to thank my newest sponsor Glen Campbell. I also have to thank my mum for donating, and pimping the Snail-A-Thon on her Facebook.

Snail #1 (It has begun!)

The Snail-A-Thon has begun! And since it is International Talk Like A Pirate Day I thought I should start with a request from my inspiration Johnny Worthington. I give you, The Pirates of Pensnails.

Donor Thank Yous & Start Time Stuff

Okay kids, first things on the agenda for this post. The start time for the Snail-A-Thon is tomorrow at 10am CST. The end time being of course Sunday at 10am CST. There might be a chat room of some sort appearing during the course of the Thon, especially during the wee hours. I might need company, and moral support.

I also want to take a moment to send much love and thanks to the people who have sponsored me so far. A big <3 to Laura, Eugene, Robert, Steven and Derrick. You guys are seven layers of awesome and I appreciate the donations.

Want to be added to this list of love? Click that pretty button over on the right. Any amount helps. The kicking of cancer's shell starts tomorrow! (I better set my alarm)

The Who, Why and Whatnot of Snail-A-Thon 2009.

I thought I should post up something here, explaining maybe just a bit more what I am doing. It comes down to one easy statement. Charity is contagious, and I mean that in a good way. I have been watching people do things for charity, to raise awareness, to raise some green and to help in the fight. It's a band wagon everyone should find a way to jump on. Especially if you have a big heart, and those of you that know me, know I have a big heart.

For those of you that don't know me. (I have a big heart) One of the things I do, is doodle. A lot. And snails have become my specialty, and have gained a strange and wonderful following on Friend Feed.

So this is what I am doing. Starting on Saturday (not sure the time just yet) I am going to post one snail doodle an hour. For 24 hours! It's been a long time since this old lady has pulled an all nighter. So this should be fun. I have gotten a lot of great ideas for snails from my friends. Hopefully I can get to them all.

The money I raise is going to be donated to Blame Drews Cancer.

Do you want in on this? Click on the Pledgie button on the right to sponsor me. *ANY* amount helps. Even if it's a buck. If you can't donate, I could use a cheerleading squad. Words of encouragement are welcome. I plan on having a chat room set up in case people want to keep me company.

Let's kick cancer's shell!

(I did not by the way draw the snail up top. That is just a cute clipart snail that fit perfectly. But dancey snail is all mine.)
